We had eight entries this year for the annual PSA contest, and each one was unique and worthy of an award. The students worked very hard and you could see this in their finished products.
The winning PSA was created by a young lady named Jalyn McLaughlin. She attends 10th grade at Braden River High School. Jalyn works at Dairy Queen full-time after school. In her spare time, she worked on creating the PSA. We talked to her instructor, Abby Toole, the day after our contest and she told said that when Jalyn received the email that she was shaking and could barely open it up!
Rewarding a hard-working student, like Jalyn, is truly is an example of the difference Crosthwait does make in the lives of those in our community! Not only will Jalyn and her instructor, Abby Toole, be present to accept the traveling trophy and check on Sunday, but one of the school administrators is going to attend as well. Watch Jalyn’s winning video below.
